Was thinking lately how i try to treat everyone nicely, no judgement, just righteous intentions, but didn’t get the same respect back in return, nobody even cared/noticed. It got to me today on the bus.
Then an intimidating homeless rastafarian guy got on the bus, nobody would move out of the way for him to sit, but naturally i moved up. He said thank you but didn’t even sit near me in the end. He got off two stops later and tapped me on the shoulder as i was looking out the window, I turned to see his fist extended as he said “ey muhn, respect to you” i met his fist and before i could reply he had left.
I dunno it just restored thangs for me. i realised it doesn’t matter if people don’t notice the effort you put into doing a good thing. if you do it enough you’ll naturally become a better person and just because people don’t notice or don’t return the respect at times, it doesn’t mean they should make you into a bad person too.
The week of E3 should be a religious holiday.
